Aldi is set to open ten new stores across the UK this summer and renovate thirty existing ones, according to a statement from the supermarket chain. The new stores will be spread across various regions, including Oldbury in the West Midlands, Fulham Broadway in London, Brighouse in West Yorkshire, Caterham in Surrey, and Deeside in Wales. The renovations will also include some stores in Kent and Manchester.

These expansions are part of Aldi's long-term goal to have 1,500 stores in Britain. The company plans to invest £650 million this year to grow its presence in the country. Each new store is expected to create about 40 jobs, with the positions offering market-leading pay rates, Boosting employment opportunities in local areas, Aldi said.

As part of its ongoing commitment to British farming, Aldi announced earlier this month that it would continue to source all its core fresh beef, pork, and poultry from British farms. The supermarket also pledged to maintain its existing food standards amid ongoing trade talks with the US.

Last month, the company increased the hourly pay for its store assistants. The minimum wage for those working outside the M25 was raised to £12.75, while those within the M25 received at least £14.05 per hour. The company also announced additional pay increases for its store staff from September 2025.

Some of the stores scheduled for renovations this year include Glastonbury's Aldi, among others. However, the exact locations and timelines for the opening of the new stores and renovations have not been disclosed.
