Al-Subaie appointed as KSE chairperson for the 2025-2027 tenure

The Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) convened its regular General Assembly meeting on Wednesday at its headquarters, welcoming officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs and a substantial gathering of engineers.

The meeting commenced with an address by the Society's president, Engineer Faisal Al-Atal, who lauded the dedication of volunteer engineers and underscored the Society's role in fostering professional values and community engagement, according to Al-Rai daily.

During the session, the General Assembly endorsed the financial and administrative reports for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, and granted the incoming Board of Directors the authority to appoint an auditor and determine their compensation. Eng. Mohammed Fahid Al-Subaie was elected as the new Chairman for the 2025-2027 term.

Post the assembly, the newly appointed Board held its first meeting and assigned roles by acclamation. Engineer Rashid Al-Atal assumed the position of Vice Chairman, Engineer Fahad Al-Otaibi became Secretary, and Engineer Ghazi Al-Mushaili was designated as Treasurer, among others who were appointed to assistant roles and board memberships.

In his subsequent remarks, Engineer Al-Subaie expressed gratitude for the members' trust and pledged to continue advancing the profession and supporting national development initiatives. He reiterated the Society's mission to serve engineers and the broader community through professional and volunteer initiatives.

While not directly related to the General Assembly meeting, it is worth noting that on May 20, 2025, the Union Internationale des Chemins de Fer (UIC) participated in the Kuwait-Spain Bilateral Meeting, focusing on infrastructure, water treatment technologies, shipbuilding, and industrial engineering in the oil and gas sector. Additionally, in May 2025, the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) signed a Letter of Intent with the Kuwait Society of Engineers to recruit national talent, reflecting its dedication to engineering development. The IDC Kuwait CIO Summit 2025 spotlighted Kuwait's digital transformation and its Vision 2035, highlighting the adoption of advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and big data. Lastly, Faisal Al-Adsani emphasized Gulf Bank's commitment to supporting Kuwait's Vision 2035 through financing sustainable projects during the Third Kuwait Public-Private Partnership Conference.
