Ait-Djoudi appointed as Communications Manager at the VDSI
Jasmine Ait-Djoudi, a seasoned communications professional, joined the Association for Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Protection (VDSI) in Berlin as the Communications Manager on May 2, 2025.
Prior to her current role, Ait-Djoudi honed her skills in academia communications, starting her career as Head of Press and Public Relations at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Mechanics in Halle (Saale). This was followed by a stint as Head of University Communications at Technische Universität Hamburg.
Ait-Djoudi's career in academia communications culminated with her appointment as Head of University Communications at Bergische Universität Wuppertal. During her tenure, she also served as a press spokesperson, a role she would continue to hold in her subsequent positions.
In addition to her work in academia, Ait-Djoudi served as spokesperson for the Project Group "Initiative Quality for University Communications" (IQ_HKom) in the Federal Association of University Communications. This role allowed her to contribute to the quality and effectiveness of university communications across Germany.
Ait-Djoudi's impressive career trajectory was propelled by her degree in communications science. One of her notable achievements was the development of the "Digital Award" competition for universities, a initiative that recognises and rewards excellence in digital communications within the academic community.
At VDSI, Ait-Djoudi reports directly to the Managing Director, Matthias Kampa. Her wealth of experience and innovative approach to communications are expected to significantly contribute to VDSI's mission to promote and advance occupational safety, health, and environmental protection.
