White & Case Advises Orazul Energy Perú S.A. on $380 Million Senior Notes Issue
In a significant development, global law firm White & Case LLP has been announced as the advisor for Orazul Energy Perú S.A., a leading Peruvian renewable power company, in the issuance of $380 million senior notes due 2032.
The CEO of Orazul Energy Perú S.A., Rodrigo Alberto Jiménez, has reportedly been advised by White & Case. The deal was led by partner Andrew Weisberg from New York, with associates Christie Garcia from Miami and Heidi Ahmed from New York also contributing to the team.
Orazul Energy Perú S.A., a private company controlled by I Squared Capital, owns, develops, and operates two hydroelectric power plants and one solar power plant, all located in Peru. The company generates and sells electricity to regulated and non-regulated customers.
The service areas involved in the Orazul Energy deal include Capital Markets, Energy, North America, and Latin America. In the United States, the focus was on Capital Markets. Christie Garcia, an associate working in Capital Markets at White & Case, was part of the team.
The issuance of Orazul's new notes was six times oversubscribed, indicating a strong demand in the market. In addition to the notes issuance, Orazul Energy Perú S.A. also conducted a tender offer for its existing 5.625% senior notes due 2027.
The White & Case team for the Orazul Energy deal includes partners Andrew Weisberg, who specialises in Capital Markets, Latin America, Financial Restructuring and Insolvency, Financial Institutions, Mining & Metals, and Energy, and Heidi Ahmed, who focuses on Capital Markets.
Orazul Energy Perú S.A. is making strides in the renewable energy sector, operating power plants that contribute to the country's electrical power generation. This deal marks another milestone in the company's growth and expansion.
