The New Jersey Office of Innovation is seeking a Temporary Grant-Funded Procurement and Acquisition Specialist to join their team. This role, funded by a grant, is focused on managing procurement processes that align with the Office's goals.

Key Responsibilities: - The specialist will be responsible for executing procurements and acquisitions in compliance with applicable rules and policies. - They will support the Office's operational needs through efficient procurement activities. - Ensuring acquisition processes enable the organization to achieve efficiency and excellence is a crucial part of this role.

Requirements for the position include: - At least 7 years of purchasing and procurement experience, with some of those years in the public-sector or within a government-funded organization. - Experience in managing procurement processes and contracts. - Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to ensure compliance and manage vendor relationships effectively. - Applied experience managing agile development service procurements and contracts is a requirement.

The role also involves collaborating with the leadership team to develop purchasing and procurement plans. Familiarity with grants management, including contracting, reporting, and closeout, is preferred.

The specialist will be expected to balance strategic thinking at the organization-wide level with the implementation of key operational and executional tasks. Paramount attention to detail and the ability to execute key tasks with zero room for error is essential.

The compensation for the role is up to approximately $144,813, commensurate with experience. Experience operating in environments with complex compliance requirements is necessary, and the ability to problem solve in a rapidly growing organization is preferred.
